Holy Liturgy – The Seventh Sunday after Pentecost

On this day, we commemorate the Holy Fathers of the Fourth Ecumenical Council, the Holy Pious Macrina, sister of Saint Basil the Great, the discovery of the relics of Saint Seraphim of Sarov, Saint Die, the Saints of the family of Saint Basil the Great, and the 7th Sunday after Pentecost (The Healing of Two Blind Men and a Mute Man in Capernaum).

The 7th Sunday after Pentecost presents us with the Gospel account of the healing of the two blind men and a mute man possessed by a demon, revealing to us the healing power and endless mercy of our Savior Jesus Christ. Through the faith and perseverance of those who sought the Lord’s help, we learn that God answers prayers offered with confidence and a pure heart. At the same time, this Gospel reminds us that the true light is that of faith, which opens the eyes of the soul to the knowledge of God and to the fulfillment of His will. This Sunday urges us to strengthen our faith, to persevere in prayer, and to gratefully receive the work of divine grace, which heals, strengthens, and guides our lives.

We warmly welcome you to the Chapel of the Saint Thecla Foundation, in a warm and welcoming setting!
