Holy Unction – St. Nicodemos of Mount Athos – Dorobanți Parish

On this day, we commemorate Saint Nicodemos of Mount Athos, Saint Justin the Martyr, Saint Heraclius the Martyr, and Saint Achilles the Apostle.

Saint Nicodemos of Mount Athos is honored by the Church as one of the most distinguished spiritual fathers of Orthodoxy, distinguished by his wisdom, his life of prayer, and his rich theological work. Living on Mount Athos, he dedicated his entire life to deepening the teachings of the faith and providing spiritual guidance to the faithful, leaving behind writings of great spiritual value. Through his humility, zeal, and love for God, Saint Nicodemus shows us that true knowledge is attained by living the Gospel and through the ceaseless pursuit of holiness. His commemoration urges us to love prayer, to delve deeper into the teachings of the Church, and to cultivate a life grounded in faith, discernment, and communion with Christ.

We warmly welcome you to the Dorobanți Church, in a warm and welcoming setting!
