Holy Liturgy – Sts. Martyrs Sergius and Vah; St. Martyr Julian the Priest, Caesarius the Deacon, and Polyhronia
On this day we commemorate: Saint Sergius the Great Martyr, Saint Vah the Great Martyr, Saint Joseph of Khevi, Georgia, the Veneration of the Holy Icon of the Mother of God “The Loving One” of the Caves of Pskov, Saint Polychronius the Martyr, Saint Caesarius the Martyr, the deacon, and Saint Julian the Martyr, the priest.
The Great Martyrs Sergius and Vah are commemorated together as confessors of the faith in Christ, who remained steadfast despite suffering and persecution. Their lives show us that bearing witness to the faith is not just about words, but also about the strength to stand with Christ when it requires sacrifice and courage.
On the same day, we also commemorate the Holy Martyrs Julian the Priest, Caesarius the Deacon, and Polyhronia, whose lives are part of the same witness to faith and steadfastness. The example of these martyrs calls us to view faith not as something we profess only in times of ease, but as a daily endeavor. Through their courage, the saints teach us that love for God can be stronger than any fear and that faithfulness to Christ remains a source of spiritual strength.
We warmly welcome you to the Chapel of the Saint Thecla Foundation, in a warm and welcoming setting!
