The 20th Sunday after Pentecost presents us with the miracle of the raising of the widow’s son at Nain. Our Savior Jesus Christ encounters a mother who was leading her only son to his grave, and, seeing her grief, He approaches her and restores her child to life. The miracle reveals God’s love and mercy toward human suffering and reminds us that, in the presence of Christ, even death does not have the final say.
On the same day, we celebrate Saint Luke the Apostle and Evangelist, one of the four Evangelists and the author of the Gospel according to Luke and the Acts of the Apostles. He is also known as a physician, and Church tradition honors him as a man of faith, service, and witness. Saint Marin the Elder, the Martyr, is also commemorated. Together, this day calls us to hope, compassion, and the faith that God is close to those who suffer.
We warmly welcome you to the Chapel of the Saint Tecla Foundation, in a warm and welcoming setting!
