Christ is Risen! Today’s feast poses a simple question: whose voice do you listen to? Saint George the Great Martyr continued to listen to the voice of Christ when everyone else was urging him to change. That is why he is called the “bearer of victory”—not because he won, but because he did not give in. For true victory is not escaping death or what is difficult, but not selling your soul out of fear of all the hardships you encounter.

Happy anniversary to all of you who bear the name of the Victor! May God grant you grace upon grace, overflowing and abundant, without measure.
