Confession – Saint Samson the Hospitable, Saint Joanna the Myrrh-Bearer

On this day, we commemorate Saint Samson the Hospitable, Saint Joanna the Myrrh-Bearer, and Saint Anect the Martyr.

Saint Samson the Hospitable and Saint Joanna the Myrrh-Bearer are honored by the Church as examples of merciful love, selfless service, and devotion to God. Through his care for the sick, the poor, and those in need, Saint Samson demonstrated the power of Christian compassion and active love. Saint Joanna, one of the women who followed the Savior and faithfully proclaimed His Resurrection, remains an example of courage, faithfulness, and self-sacrifice. Honoring these saints urges us to cultivate charity, to be close to those who are suffering, and to joyfully bear witness to our faith in Christ through acts of love and service to our neighbors.
