Holy Liturgy – St. Marina the Martyr, St. Euphrasius the Priest

On this day, we commemorate the Holy Great Martyr Marina, the Holy Martyr Tsars of the Romanov dynasty—Nicholas and Alexandra—and their children Olga, Tatiana, Maria, Anastasia, and Alexei, as well as Saint Euphrasius, Bishop of Yenopol.

Saint Marina the Great Martyr and Saint Euphrasius the Hierarch are honored by the Church as examples of unwavering faith, courage, and devoted service to God. Through her steadfastness in confessing Christ, even in the face of torture and death, Saint Marina demonstrated the power of faith that overcomes every trial. For his part, Saint Euphrasius distinguished himself through his wisdom, pastoral zeal, and concern for preserving the true faith and guiding the faithful along the path to salvation. Honoring these saints urges us to remain steadfast in the faith, to courageously bear witness to the truth of the Gospel, and to live with love, humility, and hope in God.
