Holy Liturgy – Sts. Bartholomew and Barnabas, St. Luke of Crimea

On this day, we commemorate Saint Luke, Archbishop of Crimea; Saint Bartholomew the Apostle; Saint Barnabas the Apostle; Saint Gabriel of Kapsala; and the Veneration of the Holy Icon of the Mother of God “Axion Estin.”

The Holy Apostles Bartholomew and Barnabas, together with Saint Luke of Crimea, are examples of steadfast faith, self-sacrificing service, and fearless witness to Christ. The Apostles Bartholomew and Barnabas preached the Gospel in many lands, spreading the light of faith and strengthening the first Christian communities through word and deed. Saint Luke of Crimea, a hierarch and distinguished physician of the 20th century, exemplarily united service to others with the confession of the faith, remaining steadfast in the face of suffering and persecution. Honoring these saints urges us to follow their example of love for God and for people, cultivating courage, compassion, and fidelity to Christian values in all circumstances of life.

We warmly welcome you to the Chapel of the Saint Thecla Foundation, in a warm and welcoming setting!
