Holy Liturgy – The Sixth Sunday after Pentecost

On this day, we celebrate the Veneration of the Holy Icon of Prodromița from Mount Athos, Saint Paisios the Athonite, Saint Veronica, Saint Hilary the Martyr, Saint Proclus the Martyr, Saint Michael Maleinus the Pious, the Veneration of the Holy Icon of the Mother of God “of Saint John of Damascus” (Trihirussa), and the Sixth Sunday after Pentecost (The Healing of the Paralytic at Capernaum).

The Sixth Sunday after Pentecost presents us with the Gospel account of the healing of the paralytic in Capernaum, revealing the divine power of our Savior Jesus Christ to forgive sins and heal human suffering. Through this miracle, Christ shows us that spiritual and physical healing are closely linked, and that the forgiveness of sins opens the way to true renewal of life. The faith of those who brought the paralytic before the Lord also reminds us of the importance of prayer and caring for our neighbor. This Sunday urges us to approach God with confidence, to seek forgiveness and healing through repentance, and to live in the light of His grace, which strengthens and renews both soul and body.

We warmly welcome you to the Chapel of the Saint Thecla Foundation, in a warm and welcoming setting!
