Holy Unction

We warmly welcome you to the Chapel of the Saint Thecla Foundation, in a warm and welcoming setting!

Today we celebrate Saint Zeno the Apostle, Saint Simeon the Holy Martyr (a relative of the Lord), Saint Mark the Apostle, and Saint Aristarchus the Apostle.

In Christian teaching, suffering and illness find meaning through Christ, becoming an opportunity for repentance and drawing closer to God. Body and soul are closely connected, and their healing requires not only physical care but also spiritual strengthening.

The Sacrament of Holy Unction, based on the exhortation of Saint James the Apostle, is a communal prayer for healing that brings comfort, forgiveness, and strength in bearing suffering, opening the way for people to hope and communion with God.
